Karen Anderson, LMT

Karen Anderson LMTI am Karen Anderson, a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1992. I attended the Swedish Institute in New York City, where I received my Massage Degree. There I worked in health clubs and spas as well as having a very successful private practice.

My Massage Sessions are a combination of Swedish Massage, Direct Pressure, CranioSacral Work and of course, a variety of techniques learned and developed over the years. Pressures can vary from light to deep.

CranioSacral Work is a session of many delicious moments in which your body and mind have the opportunity to find balance and stillness. The work is extremely calming, helping your body, mind, and central nervous system find a place of ease and peace.

This very gentle, hands-on technique is done fully clothed on the massage table.

Addressing the CranioSacral System can relieve stress and strains throughout your entire body. The crux of this work is in the stillness, your body seeking your innate peace and relaxation. Tissues now can break old patterns of stress, tension and pain.

The membranes that surround your Spinal Cord and Brain also house your Cerebral Spinal Fluid. These membranes attach to key bones, acting as levers, which can help to alleviate restrictions and tensions within, relieving pressures from the Brain and Spinal Cord.

I have studied Visionary CranioSacral Work with Hugh Milne, an Osteopath, who shares his Heart of Listening approach. The approach is meditative and intuitive: the work is a dance.

CranioSacral Therapy has been known to help with:

  • Headaches
  • Jaw and TMJ Pain
  • Tinnitus
  • Lower Back Pain and Tension
  • Poor Sleep
  • Unclear Thinking
  • Low Energy
  • Depression
  • Hyperactivity
  • A.D.D.
  • General Aches and Pains and More.

I am new to the beautiful and exciting Flagstaff area. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, skills and encouragement towards growth and relaxation for each of you. Happy to be a vital part of this wonderful community, I look forward to working with you!
