Play Therapy

Play Therapy is the treatment of choice when working with children ages 2 - 10+.  Children are not little adults and yet are capable of experiencing deep pain and confusion.  Children live intuitively and they use the play experience to communicate what they don't understand cognitively.  It is their natural language and the medium in which children are most comfortable.  Through Play Therapy, children tell (the therapist) what it is like to be them and show how they cope with life.  Through out the Play Therapy process, the therapist works closely with the parents/caregivers and provides input and support that will help their child heal and get back on track developmentally.
